The bizarre transgender surgery of Bruce Jenner, now Caitlyn Jenner, has become the most trending topic on social media.
Bruce Jenner, ex husband of Chris Jenner, the matriarch of the Kardashian brood, has transformed to a woman via a transgender operation. In Nigeria, the brazen act is blazing through social media and Nigerians are beginning to bare their minds on it. Top celebrities like Don Jazzy, Mr Ibu, Aki and Paw Paw are not left out of the rave as they have been poking fun at Jenner by posting pictures of themselves posing as women on social media.
While there has been an outpour of support for Bruce Jenner in some quarters, with some calling him a hero for living his ‘true self, rapper Snoop Dogg, now Snoop Lion, is somewhat less tolerant of the act. The rapper is one of the few who feel that perhaps Bruce Jenner has a mental disorder.
The American Hip hop artiste took to Instagram midweek to berate the mainstream media for being more interested in Bruce’s story and glorifying it, ignoring inspiring stories like what Akon did recently. According to reports, Akon, a US – based rapper of Senegalese descent launched a solar academy; an institution that will trainelectrical engineers who will supply electricity to millions of people in Africa. Ironically, no mainstream media has published it in the rapper’s estimation.
Snoop wrote on his instagram page: “Shout out to Akon. He is about to supply 600 million Africans with solar power. I’m really upset that this is not major news, but that science project, Bruce Jenner is.”
