Super Eagles striker Victor Moses has declared his hunger to play against Spain in the FIFA Confederations cup in June.
The Chelsea forward’s confidence is coming after Nigeria won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa, where he played an inspirational role in the team.
The Super Eagles have been drawn into Group B at the prestigious competition and will be facing the world champions Spain, as well as Uruguay and Tahiti, in the competition.
‘’I am looking forward to playing against [Spain]. It will be wonderful, not just for me, but for the other players as well, he told fifa.com
‘’That we have the chance to play against some of the greatest players in the world is terrific. We are very happy, but the most important thing was to win the Nations Cup. With having actually done that, we are looking forward to Brazil.
‘’It means a lot to me, but not only for me, for the whole nation it means a lot to represent Nigeria in Brazil. We are all looking forward to it. We are delighted to be going there.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles are billed to resume camping next week ahead of the crunch World Cup qualifying match against the Harambe Stars of Kenya.
A release from Ademola Olajire, Chief Media Officer of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), stated the home boys have been given equal opportunities alongside the overseas-based professionals in the past 15 months and will next week resume camping for next month’s 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Kenya, before the arrival of the foreign-based pros.
